Yovcho Savov was born in Nova Zagora. In 1973, he graduated from the Higher Institute of Architecture and Construction in Sofia with a major in architecture. He worked for several years as an architect-designer in the Design Organization, then as an artist in several metropolitan periodicals - "Mladezh" magazine, "Problems of social control" magazine, "Stershel" magazine, "Phenomen" magazine, etc. . Actively collaborates with cartoons in various printed publications in Bulgaria and abroad. He took part in hundreds of caricature competitions and exhibitions at home and abroad. His works have repeatedly been included in the selection of international competitions. He is the winner of over eighty awards from prestigious Bulgarian and international caricature forums, and in 2010 he was named Cartoonist of the Year for special merits in the development of Bulgarian caricature. There are ten solo cartoon exhibitions. He also works in the field of graphic design, illustration and sculpture. He has been writing poetry for over thirty years. He is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and the Union of Architects in Bulgaria. His poetry is primarily provoked by social problems, with the emotions they evoke coming to the fore, clothed in whimsical images.
