THE TRANSITION FROM THE DIGITAL AGE TO THE HYBRID CIVILIZATION
In 1455, the first Bible appeared, printed with Johannes Gutenberg's printing press, and knowledge became accessible to all. Now we are at the beginning of a similar global transformation - the digital universe is being created - a copy of nature, the Cosmos and the world around us with their complex laws and connections. Knowledge is growing like an avalanche, aided by digital technologies, ultra-fast communications, supercomputers, neural networks and artificial intelligence. Natural intelligence is gradually merging with artificial intelligence. A society is being formed imperceptibly, where humans and intelligent machines will be together everywhere, becoming the first hybrid civilization in history. Who shaped this transition and what will the future look like? The answers lie in the genesis that began with Ada Lovelace, Alan Turing, Richard Feynman, John von Neumann and other brilliant scientists and innovators who paved the way for the digital world. Bulgarians also participated in its construction with their significant contribution to the creation of superfast computers and their transformation into "thinking machines". The decisive role was played by politicians such as Maria Gabriel, who saw the future and did what was necessary for the United Europe to enter the digital age with a flying start. Now we are facing a turning point - the Rubicon. There will be no turning back. On one bank will remain the modern "Neanderthals" - people who refuse to adapt and hate change. On the other will be the active, curious, hardworking and innovative Homosapiens, who with their increasingly powerful computers and AI will absorb new knowledge. The book is also a kind of roadmap - not only for survival and orientation, but also for prosperity in the new digital world. It is for everyone who wants to understand the possibilities of the symbiosis "supercomputers - digital twins - AI" and how to use them to climb their personal "Everest". Or to create the state they dream of. The book is also full of concrete examples of how people who started from scratch, including from small Bulgaria, can achieve amazing results on a world level.
