JOINT
HAKAN GÜNDAY was born on the island of Rhodes on May 29, 1976. His first novel, Kinyas and Kayra (2000), was met with interest by the literary community and his works, which have created their own circle of readers, were published by Dogan Kitap Publishing House: Zargana (2002), Kinyas and Kayra (2003), Bastard (2003), Dornik (2005), Dismissal (2007), Loss (2009), Malko (2011), Poveć (2013), Zamir (2011). In 2015, his novel “Poveć” was awarded the prestigious French literary prize Médicis for best foreign language novel. In 2022, Günday received the international “Hermann Hesse” prize for lifetime achievement.
